Field Trip

Barnyard Party- Pre-primary, Grade 1&2 A Barnyard Party (Fun dates with pets) was organized at SESS for Pre-primary, Grade 1&2. Pet parties can be super fun for young learners. They teach them about responsibility, empathy, and how to care for animals. Interacting with pets can boost confidence and social skills. It’s a paw-some way to introduce young learners to the joys of pets in a safe and supervised environment.

Field trips are a vital component of educational experiences and provide a bridge between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. Our students from grades 6 to 8 visited the Seven Eleven Club on their field trip. They got a first-hand experience and understanding of the operations & processes involved in managing a club. They got exposure to Security Management, Horticulture, Kitchen maintenance and hygiene in food processing, Gymnasium and the related health benefits, and career options in the Health and Hotel industry. They also improved their social skills by interacting with club members and the staff and gained deeper insights into the various parameters for ensuring the smooth running of the club.

Field Trips offer valuable learning experiences: Experiences that are central to SESS’ educational mission, as we believe that schools must not only provide economically useful skills in numeracy and literacy, but also to produce civilised young persons who can appreciate the arts and culture. Additionally, field trip, are a great equaliser amongst children of varied backgrounds, interests and abilities helping them develop social awareness and empathy. SESS specialised field trips ensure students not only take back memories but also the learning tools as learners are known to retain a great deal of factual information through such specialised tours.

Real-World Application: Field trips allow students to see how concepts they learn in the classroom are applied in real-world settings. For example, a visit to a science museum can help students see scientific principles in action, making the subject more relevant and understandable.

Cultural and Historical Understanding: Field trips to museums, historical sites, or cultural centers expose students to different cultures, traditions, and historical events. This first hand experience fosters a deeper appreciation and understanding of diverse societies and heritage.

Social and Emotional Development: Field trips provide an opportunity for students to interact with their peers in a different environment. This promotes social skills, teamwork, and collaboration, as well as the development of independence and confidence.

Career Exploration: Field trips related to specific industries or professions can expose students to potential career paths. Visiting workplaces or participating in job shadowing activities can help students understand the skills and knowledge required for different occupations.
